There’s something incredibly special about when a “styled shoot” turns into the real thing. Savannah and Blake may look familiar if you followed along with my Westbound Women Content Day earlier this year — they were our model bride and groom for that shoot! But this time, the love you’re seeing wasn’t staged at all — it was real.
From Styled Shoot to Real Proposal
When Savannah and Blake first modeled for Westbound Women, they were open to all of my wild ideas — from the dress and suit fittings at Amanda’s Touch Bridal to the western-inspired wedding styled shoot we planned. While we fitted Savannah for the most perfect lace gown, Blake got fitted for his suit down the hall. When he came back and saw her in that wedding dress for the first time, the look on his face said it all — this was a moment that would one day be real.
Fast forward just a few months later, Blake pulled me aside during Westbound Women and shared his plan to propose. I was instantly giddy and honored to be part of capturing such a meaningful milestone in their story.
The Perfect Sunset Proposal
On the evening of the proposal, the golden Virginia sun painted the field in soft, glowing light — the kind photographers dream of. Savannah thought they were just heading out another creative styled shoot I had up my sleeve, but Blake had a much bigger surprise in store.
As he knelt down and asked her to marry him, the emotion of the moment was undeniable. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight, mine included. Watch the beautiful moment for yourself here! A Moment They’ll Never Forget
The best part? Their friends and family were on site, waiting to celebrate the moment they said yes! After giving everyone a bit of a scare — thinking they might’ve eloped after our last shoot — it was such a full-circle experience to capture the real proposal that started it all.
Savannah and Blake hold such a special place in my heart, and it’s been so beautiful watching their story unfold — from models at a content day to a real couple stepping into their forever together.
