From a Virginia wedding photographer full of love for western photography, this day was a dream come true. Shay and Harrison’s wedding at Sky Ridge Farm in Waynesboro, Virginia captured the essence of their lifestyle, bond, and mutual connection to cowboy culture. From living and working together on the farm to time enjoyed together on a saddle, their day full of celebrations was unique to them. This day was nothing short of a Virginia western wedding dream at the perfect venue, Sky Ridge Farm.
A Ceremony, Celebrating With a Personal Touch
The biggest moment of the day, the ceremony, should always feature some unique attributes to fully represent the couple. This one in particular brought some uniqueness which was never seen before. The arbor showcased the groom’s family brand and extended on each side to board fence. The arbor was simple and timeless, with whiskey barrels on either side adorned with gorgeous ferns. Harrison and Shay included a branding ceremony in which they branded a cowhide sign to signify their unity.
A Day Only Complete With The Cattle Dogs
On top of a gorgeous day, it was a priority to include the couple’s cattle dogs into their big moments. The groom’s two Catahoula’s were included in his groomsman portraits. The bride’s sweet corgi was included in her stunning bridals. These important elements perfectly incorporated all of the things that are special to them both.
An Unwavering Fundamental For Celebration
While every small detail to the grand send off were easy to get lost in, we all found ourselves feeling lost in every heart-filled moment. There were so many well planned, thoughtful events of celebration and decor full of western-flare but the bride and groom remained invested in celebrating their marriage with their favorite people — what it is all truly about.
