When planning a trip to some of God’s most beautiful country, organizing some photos along the way is a must. Some have dreams of record labels, trophies, maybe becoming a celebrity, or the next top influencer — this one was mine, western couple photos on a ranch in Wyoming. Had a wild hair and reached out to the guy from high school who packed up and moved west to see if he and his wife would be interested in planning some photos with their horses and they were luckily all in! We trucked our way to Douglas, Wyoming to their friends’ ranch. What opened up before our eyes as we entered the driveway would be best described as Heaven, but named Powderhorn Ranch. There’s nothing quite like this magical place.
What is The Story Behind These Two?
While the scenery, couple, and their four legged family were picture perfect, the ranch holds a special meaning for Louisa and Bradley. Louisa worked on this ranch prior to meeting Bradley and just so happens to be the first place they met for the first time. A few years into marriage, you can say this place means much more than the average.
Why Western Couple Photos on The Ranch in Wyoming
To many, it may sound a little silly to incorporate a couple horses and a livestock trailer into their portraits that tell their love story, but for these two, it’s their way of life. They built a love for one another around their love for horsemanship, the outdoors, and western way of life. This kind of rugged lifestyle is etched into who they are.

Summers in Wyoming are simply mesmerizing. The days are hot but our evening together brought a coolness to complement the warm, golden horizon laid before us. The mountains seemed to take on a new color and reflect a welcoming glow that left us reluctant to leave.
