Details are one of my favorites to creatively capture during a wedding day! A thoughtful and readily prepared detail box brings together a stunning collection to represent the story behind your perfect day. Here are some tips to guide you to curating a stunning flat lay for your photographer, made by a wedding photographer!
Collect sentimental and meaningful items. This can be simple or include all of your beautiful details! This can include:
– Wedding stationary (save the date, invitation, including envelopes and stamps)
– Engagement and wedding rings
– Vow books or handwritten vows
– Jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet, hairpieces, veil)
– Perfume/Cologne
– Shoes
– A special keepsake (locket, heirloom, handkerchief, or something blue)
Some Tips!
Make sure items are clean and polished. Rings should be professionally cleaned, stationary should be unbent without blemishes, and any fabrics should be steamed or wrinkle-free.
Let your photographer do the rest! Your wedding photographer will arrange your details in a way that tells a story and looks visually balanced. It’s helpful to have all items together in a separate box, ready for the photographer arrival and they will style them to perfection!
Details are so fun because they are unique with each and every wedding! Documenting your wedding dress on the hanger is always such a pretty addition to your wedding gallery which you’ll cherish forever!
